If we lived in a static world, long term plans can be made, reality could be controlled, negative externalities eliminated. But since we live in a dynamic reality where each decision we make affects the web of reality around us, reality constantly changes and cannot be controlled. The goal is to adapt and push our boundaries, not bury ourselves in the tunnel vision we imposed on dynamic reality. And ultimately the old predictive and outdated models will collapse, once they cannot keep pace with the speed of reality.
