While negotiations with the United States are underway what does Havana look like? Photos of daily life.
Just returned from another trip to Havana where I stayed with long-time friends. The economy was more difficult but so was the determination of the people to find joy in the little things. Havana is exceptionally safe. I don’t recall seeing in American cities kids wander with such safety where they know they won’t be molested and where strangers treat each other with kindness. The peace of the place is overwhelming, and many tourists I met were amazed.
Even as the future is unknown, that is all the more a reason to visit now.
